Crown and Sceptre

Status: Closed and demolished
Address: Great Arthur Street, EC1Y (streetmap) (osm) (gmap) (bingmap) (streetview)
Note: The location on these maps is approximate.
London borough: City of London
Former address: [also listed as Ball Yard (1794)]
Historical parish: St Luke
Dates open: by 1790-at least 1839
Notes: This street no longer exists. Location on the map is a guess, but Horwood's 1799 map shows Ball Yard as the eastern end of Great Arthur Street. A court case of 1794 on Old Bailey Online suggests that the pub is on Ball Yard adjoining Catherine Wheel Alley, but I don't have any maps which show a street of this name.
