Red Lion

Status: Closed and demolished
Address: Red Lion Court, Bermondsey Street, SE1 (streetmap) (osm) (gmap) (bingmap) (streetview)
Note: The location on these maps is approximate.
London borough: Southwark
Historical parish: Southwark St John Horselydown
Dates open: by 1746-at least 1830
Notes: This street no longer exists, and ran off the east side of Bermondsey St, intersecting with College St (now Shand St) at the other end. This pub would have been demolished for the construction of the railway lines into London Bridge. Location is a guess, as it's not clear where on Red Lion Ct the pub was, so I have placed the map marker near where "Red Lyon Inn" is inscribed on Rocque's 1746 map.
