King's Arms

Status: Closed and demolished
Address: Shad Thames, SE1 (streetmap) (osm) (gmap) (bingmap) (streetview)
Note: The location on these maps is approximate.
London borough: Southwark
Historical parish: Southwark St John Horselydown
Dates open: by 1788-at least 1838
Notes: Location on the map is a guess, but a 1788 Sun Fire Office insurance record mentions a granary next to the "King's Arms" and near to the "Old Rose" (see separate entry, but whose location I have also guessed); Lafone Street was previously named Kings Row, so it's possible this may have taken its name from the pub, so my guess puts it at the intersection.
