Fox

Status: Closed and demolished
Address: 58 Princes Street, SE1 (streetmap) (osm) (gmap) (bingmap) (streetview)
Note: The location on these maps is approximate.
London borough: Lambeth
Former address: [now Albert Embankment]
Historical parish: Lambeth
Dates open: by 1828-at least 1856
Notes: Location on the map is a guess, but Horwood's 1799 map of London shows a Fox Alley running between Princes Street (slightly inland) and Fore Street (along the riverside), all of which was swept away for the construction of Albert Embankment in the mid-1860s. It was located opposite (and to the south) of where modern Salamanca Street intersects with Albert Embankment.
