Notes: Before this pub was rebuilt after World War II, the street layout was almost entirely different: Gedling St was close to the course of the modern Sweeney Crescent (but not precisely) and the pub was on the eastern side of Gedling Street where it turned to cross under the railway (to follow the line of the modern Gedling Place). However, this ended up as almost exactly the same location as the present pub, at most a few metres to the north-west.
