Independent

Status: Closed and demolished
Address: 1-2 Naish Court, 65 Bingfield Street, N1 0BH (streetmap) (osm) (gmap) (bingmap) (streetview)
London borough: Islington
Former address: 65 Bingfield Street [different site] (pre-rebuilding)
Historical parish: Islington
Dates open: by 1869-at least 1988
rebuilt early-1960s
Owner: Whitbread (former)
Notes: Prior to rebuilding sometime in the early-1960s, the pub was situated 15m to the west, at the corner of Pembroke Street (which originally continued south). Pubs Galore mentions a pub called the "Cobbled Fighter" on Pembroke St which I can find no evidence for, so I'm not sure where it was, but may have been this or the "Marquis of Salisbury" (64 Freeling St) or the "Pembroke Castle" (46 Bingfield St, see separate entries), perhaps a short-lived name.
