| Notes: | Renamed as the "Cartoon" in 1976, as the "Cool Room" in 1997, and as the "Cartoon" again probably later that year. After closing as a bar and venue, it reopened as a nightclub space as the "Club" in c2009 and as the "Tabu Lounge" in 2012. Note that there was a separate club space at 169 London Road, not to be confused with this site (opened as "Top Rank" in 1966, then renamed as "Cinatra's" in c1976, splitting into that and "Watertown" by c1979, closing in 2004; see The Past and Present of Croydon's London Road site for more information). |
